The 2024 Goldrick Seminar will be held at the Australian Defence Force Academy on Thursday 3 October 2024.  

This year’s theme is “The importance of the maritime domain on Australia’s economic wellbeing and security” and will feature:

• the Patron and Chief of Navy, VADM Mark Hammond
• Professor Ross Babbage
• Chief of Joint Operations, VADM Justin Jones
• Head of the Australian Submarine Agency, VADM Jon Mead
• Deputy Secretary Economy, Industry and Resilience at PMC, Ms Nadine Williams
• UNSW Naval Historian, Dr Richard Dunley
• PhD candidate and undersea cable expert, Sam Bashfield
• CDRE Jay Terriela from the Philippines Coast Guard who has first-hand exposure to the Philippines response to Chinese activities around the Second Thomas Shoal.

The ANI have a number of other high profile speakers who they are awaiting final confirmation of their availability.  They say that bookings will open soon but suggest you lock in the date now if you are interested.  

It promises to be a great day with some high quality discussion around key contemporary maritime and naval matters that impact Australia’s economic wellbeing and security.
