You are invited to attend a RANOPS meeting at the: Southport Yacht Club

The Deal:  Good seafood/Australian menu and a great view across the marina. So why not come along and tell tall tales and true (?) with some old mates (or meet some new ones), take in the great scenery (yachts that is!), relax and have lunch while enjoying the beverages on offer?

Address:  SYC, Macarthur Parade, Main Beach, Queensland 4217 (Phone 07 5591 3500).

Date:  Friday, 11 October

Time:  Meet at the bar 1200 to 1215'ish for a pre-lunch ale and spin a few fibs.

Drinks: Purchase at the Bar.

Lunch:  Around 1300 - order and pay at the table. 

Getting there:  Coming from Brisbane - trains depart Central Station every 30 mins - aim for departures of either 0959 or 1029. 

Disembark at Helensvale station - take the 704 bus to Sea World - passes right by the Club.  Should have you arriving at the club at 1155 or 1225 respectively which is pretty good timing for the first drink of the day. 

Parking:  Yacht Club car park.

Getting home: Most important for all to get home in one piece - can be problematic for some as we put on the years so please take it easy. 

For bus and train, keep it simple and do nothing more adventurous than the reverse of arriving here for best results.
